Come N Joy is a Korean Restaurant located near town, at Millenia Walk, merely a 3 minutes walk from Promenade MRT and Suntec City. Come N Joy is as authentic as you can get, with Korean Music Videos and Music playing in the background, as well as a Korean store owner. The store is very cosy, with simplistic decorations replicating restaurants found in Korea.

After a short conversation with the amicable store owner, we found out that there was no MSG incorporated into the food and the base sauces for the food were all homemade by his wife, together with the side dishes. They pride themselves in the homemade aspect of the dishes, as well as a moderated amount of spiciness compared to original Korean dishes. Interestingly, he opened the restaurant as he realized that his wife had a flair for cooking, and wanted her to realise her potential. True enough, the food tasted exactly like those we had in Korea.
Upon his recommendation, we ordered several dishes, including Seafood Ramyeon, Spicy Pork Belly, Kimchi Soup, Ham and Sausage Soup and Soy Garlic Chicken. Before the dishes were served, we were given a flask of water topped with lemon slices, as well as traditional Korean side dishes (Kimchi, Pickled Radish, Spicy Picked Radish and Seasoned Garlic Shoots).
The Seafood Ramyun was our personal favorite, as there was a rich seafood taste in the soup base. It was not too spicy and the noodles are unlike regular ramen noodles but were instead slightly thicker and softer, which blended very well with the savory seafood soup. It also came with fresh mussels that topped off the dish.

The Kimchi soup was exactly like its name, with a generous portion of kimchi in a kimchi soup base. The sauce for this was made by the owner’s wife herself and was a perfect amount of spicy and savory. There were also strands of rice cakes in the dish, which was unique as it had a texture like Japanese Udon, but it was slightly chewier, which went very well with the soup. Similar to the Kimchi soup, the Ham and Sausage soup is a slightly spicier and meatier alternative, with sausage and spam, together with the aforementioned Udon-like rice cakes.

The spicy pork belly was fried with onions and was well-seasoned. It pairs well with the soupy dishes.

The final dish is the Soy Garlic Chicken, and it is one of the better Korean chickens we have had in Singapore! The skin is the right amount of crispy and sweet, and the chicken is very tender. Although the exterior is well-seasoned, it does not result in the chicken skin becoming soggy, which is a definite plus, as we could hear the crunch when we bit into it. Take caution, however, as the chicken was pretty hot, so do not be in a hurry to consume it but instead let it cool down a little, to prevent scalding yourselves. It comes in a very generous serving, that was barely finished by three people. This chicken really compared to the authentic Korean chicken we had in Korea and is highly recommended, especially for people who miss the taste of Korea’s fried chicken.
