eaj 2022 asia tour in singapore
eaJ, also known as Jae Park (Park Jae-hyung), had his first solo concert in Singapore earlier this month. The Argentine-born American musician was a former vocalist and lead guitarist of Day6, but now goes by his new stage name, eaJ.
Donned in a cap and an oversized sweater, he greeted the fans with 'Friendly Fire', showcasing his powerhouse vocals as he effortlessly belted high notes. While the song, and most other songs on the setlist, have not been released officially on Spotify, fans cheered energetically to show their support. |

This was followed by 'Voices', an upbeat song where he encouraged fans to jump along. This prompted most of the audience to stand up and wave their light sticks and banners, bringing a festive atmosphere to hall. eaJ then took the time to formally greet the fans, stating that he was happy to be back in Singapore and on stage. He also hinted at an upcoming song release (revealed to be 'Typical Story'), which he was going to announce on an Instagram Live after the show. The singer-songwriter also mentioned that Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is beautiful, and that he wanted it to be the album art for 'Castle In The Sky'.

Fans were then treated to another bout of smooth vocals as he continued the concert with 'Eden' and 'Typical Story'.
This was followed by a series of ballads - 'Traveller', an emotional song that articulates his thoughts about travelling, being lost and the process of learning how to love himself, 'Castle in the Sky' and 'Apollo'.

eaJ expressed his thankfulness for his fans, who have stood by his side all this time. It was evident that he was genuinely appreciative for their support, and he reiterated this multiple times throughout the show. Kudos to him for also performing the all the songs on his setlist continuously during the span of an hour, with only short breaks (chat sessions with the fans) in between.
The songs got progressively more energetic, with 'Safe in the Rain', 'Lennon', 'In My Civic' (cue the effortlessly flawless belting of high notes), and 'LA Stars', where he got fans to jump and cheer along. |

He continued to hype the audience up with 'Come Over', 'Other Side', 'Drop of Wine' and skilfully rapped during 'Forest'.

As time went by very quickly, eaJ expressed sadness that the concert was coming to an end, but also reminded fans that he'll be back, and to anticipate his Instagram Live at the end of the concert. The singer continued with 'Lexapro', before concluding the concert with 'Car Crash'. It was clearly a fan favourite as they sang along loudly with him and proudly waved the fan event banners in the air, to a visibly touched eaJ.

With a final bow, he said his goodbyes and left the stage, promptly starting an Instagram Live that fans immediately tuned into while still being within the concert venue.
This concludes his first solo concert in Singapore, and we look forward to many more, hopefully soon!
