B.A.P "PARTY BABY" IN SINGAPORE
B.A.P returns to our shores once again, this time to party with BABYs. The concert, held at the Mastercard Theatres in Marina Bay Sands, was nothing short of grand.
Blue lights from the stage brightened up the dark room as the tour logo flashed on the screen. With an amped up bass system and live music mixed by popular Korean DJ, DJ Shoo, the opening act was enough to get everyone hyped up even before B.A.P. hits the stage. Mixing popular songs like “Shape of You”, “Years and Years”, and “Symphony”, he got everyone grooving and waving their Matoki Green lightsticks to the beat, which was a magnificent sight. The lights dimmed and a 60 second countdown timer appeared on the screen as they proceeded with the soundcheck. The screams amplified as the countdown got closer to zero, everyone waiting for the second B.A.P, the group of their dreams, appear on stage.
The crowd was pumped up and ready to usher B.A.P on stage as they opened with the title track B.A.P from their first studio album: First Sensibility. To the BABYs who have been with B.A.P from the start, this opening song would no doubt be reminiscent of the most tumultuous time B.A.P had been through. They continued with Bad Man and No Mercy that got the fans chanting loudly with enthusiasm.
After the electrifying (and no doubt tiring) opening, B.A.P stopped to introduce themselves as well as to run an interactive segment to get to know their BABYs better! The fans cheered with excitement as ONE lucky BABY was to be chosen to join B.A.P on stage and have a chat! Fans were screaming at the top of their lungs as they tried to get the attention of the B.A.P members, bringing the already charged up atmosphere to a whole new level.
The members initially decided to split up the choice of row number and alphabet, prompting Dae Hyun to sing the English Alphabet song. He made a cute mistake and the fans laughed and squealed at his cute reaction to their laughter. Upon realising that this was not going to be an easy method to choose the fan, the members decided to look for a fan that stood out to them instead. They chose a chic female fan that was able to calmly go up stage and interact with them, we really admire her ability to stay relaxed in front of her favorite members!
What an honour it must have been for her, to get noticed and picked out by the B.A.P members themselves. This BABY enjoyed a special moment on stage surrounded by all the members of her favourite group. When asked who her favorite member was, she replied that he was not on stage at the moment and further prompting to find out who her second favorite member was resulted in her saying “Dae Hyun is ok!” in Korean.
The members were amazed by her fluent Korean and how she was able to converse with them in their own language. She received a hug from her favourite member, Jong Up who came out SPECIALLY for her despite being busy preparing backstage. The sounds of envious squeals and screams resounded in that moment, as everyone wished in unison that they too, could be her. She even managed to make Dae Hyun jealous when she said “Jong Up is the best”, but he still ended up doing a love shot with her, making the other fans scream in envy once again.

After this short break, they entered into the slower, ballad segment of the concert:
Jong-up kicked off this segment with a bang, bringing to the stage an exhilarating solo dance act to the song Try My Luck that no doubt makes him deserving of his title as B.A.P’s main dancer.
Next up was Zelo’s solo performance which earned by far, one of the loudest screams from the audience. Zelo proved himself to be an all-rounded performer as his solo act, Shine, stunned the crowd with precise English pronunciation throughout the entire song - despite him being a native Korean, his subtle yet slick dance moves and sultry vocals.
Jong-up, Daehyun and Youngjae brought to stage one of their more cheerful sounding songs - Fermata. The fans cheered and sang along as the members hit falsetto flawlessly, and swayed to the rhythm with their Matoki green lightsticks. Whenever it reached the chorus, the loud chants of “tick tock tick tock” and “Fermata” could be heard as well, adding on to the united atmosphere. We could see clearly how much everyone like this song!!
Youngjae then took the stage with Lie, charming everyone with his powerful vocals and low, smooth voice. This was followed by Daehyun’s solo stage - Shadow, featuring Zelo. The two showed amazing chemistry as they performed together, and Dae Hyun showed off his powerhouse vocals as he hit the high notes effortlessly.
As the solo segment came to a close, B.A.P re-entered the stage with Skydive and 1004, where Yongguk cheekily pointed the mic towards the audience during his solo part. In almost immediate response, BABYs confidently sang out Yongguk’s part - placing a smile on the B.A.P members’ faces as they saw the unity that their BABYs had in supporting them.

Wake me up was more than just a song - it literally woke the BABYs up! Not that they were asleep to begin with, but it FIRED them up just in time for B.A.P’s encore pieces: Be Happy, Carnival, and B.A.B.Y. And what a choice of songs these were too! Seems like B.A.P ended with these songs because they really wish for their fans to stay happy and to let them know how appreciative they are of their constant support!
In their closing, B.A.P announced that they are currently working on their new album and will be releasing more details on it soon. So BABYs out there, get ready for MORE of B.A.P and stay tuned for more updates on their coming album!
