POPULAR EXO MEMBERS, SUHO, CHANYEOL AND SEHUN, DELIGHT FANS AT SKECHERS' FIRST-EVER
SWEET MONSTER K-POP DANCE COMPETITION ASIA GRAND FINALS
More than 5,500 fans of top South Korean K-Pop boy band EXO were treated to double the excitement at the Asia Grand Finals of the first-ever Skechers Sweet Monster K-Pop Dance Competition, held on Saturday, 10 June 2017, at Causeway Point.
Virus Ladies from Malaysia was crowned the champion of the dance competition by the three members of EXO, Suho, Chanyeol and Sehun onstage; winning themselves the champion trophy and cash worth of USD $3,000, while STARREseconds from Singapore and K-Boy from Thailand danced home with the first runner-up trophy and USD $2,000 cash and second runner-up trophy and USD $1,000 cash respectively.
Fans, some who started queueing since 12.30am, screamed and clapped when the emcee, Mediacorp Radio 987 deejay Sonia Chew,
announced the arrival of EXO members Suho, Chanyeol and Sehun.
Amongst the crowd that swarmed every floor of Causeway Point, notable personalities spotted in the VIP area included Miss Universe Singapore 2016 winner Cheryl Chou and fellow finalist Patricia Eng, Mediacorp Radio YES 933 FM deejay Kun Hua, international model Andee Chua, actor Jasper Lai and actresses Jazliyana Lee and Valerie Choo, as well as popular Youtube influencer Joanna Lim.

The three charming members of EXO entered the room, exuding charisma and stunning visuals. They started off the press conference by posing for photos, before answering questions posed by the host. When asked what they would like to say to their Singaporean Fans who have been awaiting their arrival, leader Suho replied that they are happy to be back once again after their concert in Singapore this year. They will also be releasing their new album soon, and he asked for the fans to look forward to it.
Chanyeol spoke into the microphone to answer the second question, and got shocked by the volume of his voice, leading to laughs across the room. He mentioned that besides eating Chilli Crab, the EXO members also visited Marina Bay Sands the night before with their manager to enjoy the night view. It is something that they have wanted to do since they first came to Singapore, and they finally managed to do it this time, and he also hopes to be able to revisit it with the rest of the EXO members when they return together as a full group.
In response to the question posed regarding how they would dress up a pair of Skechers Delights Sweet Monster shoes to suit their own unique style, as Ambassadors of the brand, Suho mentioned that it is a pair of shoes that goes well with both training pants and jeans, but he wore a pair of black slacks to the airport, which would go well with the shoes too. Chanyeol thinks that it would look good with casual street wear, while Sehun wants to wear them with a comfortable outfit since they are sports shoes.
When asked about the reason behind their colour choice of the shoes, Suho replied that he likes the colours of all the shoes, and that he chooses the colours of the shoes according to how well it goes with his outfit for the particular day.
Sehun chose black, as black is his favourite color. Chanyeol too, says he would normally choose the color black as that is his favourite color, but just for the event, he chose Gray shoes as they matched his outfit for that day.
To young aspiring youth that dream to become a popular group like EXO, Suho said that if one chases their dreams, it will most definitely come true. He hopes that they put in their best efforts, and would become great dancers and singers. Chanyeol thinks that if they are desperate enough for it and dream big, they would be able to fulfil their dreams and wishes them good luck.
When asked what they would look out for to judge the dance competition, Maknae Sehun replied that there are too many people that can dance well in this world, so he would instead look out for people that can display their unique and natural character through the way they dance, as well as the feel they give off when they dance.

They will also be coming back with a new concert despite just ending their last concert quite recently. They are preparing for a new concert and world tour and hope to go to many countries to meet the fans once again.

While the press conference was conducted, the finalists were also performing their dance items at the atrium. Extremely loud fanchants could be heard as the fans showed off their love for EXO with the volume of their cheers. One would think that the real EXO was performing "Monster" gauging by the clarity and intensity of the fanchants as 2 of the boy groups performed their cover of EXO's latest song.
